Eight changes for Derry

Pic - Belfast Telegraph
Derry manager Damian Barton has made eight changes to his lineup ahead of Tyrone's visit to Owenbeg on Sunday (2pm).

One surprise exclusion is man of the match from the Antrim game Shane Heavron who hasn't been listed at all, presumably due to an injury.

Oisin Duffy, Christopher 'Sammy' Bradley and Mark Lynch who came on as subs are retained from the start.

Mark Craig makes a welcome comeback to the defence after a lengthy time on the sidelines. Speaking during the week Craig expressed his desire to 'get back at it' and will take over from Liam McGoldrick on the wing.

With Dungiven's Conor Murphy listed at corner forward alongside Ryan Bell and Emmet McGuckin it points towards a continuation of the direct approach to attack as all three are strong fielders of the ball.  This time it will be Sammy Bradley and not James Kielt delivering the bullets.  The long ball has the making for an interesting approach to the game.  What will the Tyrone defence have in store for them?

The winners will be a step closer to a semi final.  With the league commencing on 31st January competitive games are important.  So too is local pride.
