Martin O'Neill plans for the Euros

Republic of Ireland Manager Martin O'Neill in his Villa days
Next summer the town of Kilrea will have a special interest as the Republic of Ireland go on their journey in search of glory at the 2016 European Soccer Championships in France.

Former Derry GAA player O'Neill made the journey to Paris for last weekend's draw with his Assistant Manager Roy Keane.

Ireland's group contains Sweden, Belguim and Italy and O'Neill stated that it was an extremely tough group.


Speaking on the official FAI website that despite the huge challenge 'they are games to look forward to' and it is exciting times ahead.

While O'Neill and Keane start looking ahead to squad selection, no doubt the Irish fans will bet getting flights, hotels and various arrangements in place to have a summer holiday to remember.
