DONNELLY TO LEAD 'SCREEN

Trillick's Liam Donnelly has been named as manager of Ballinascreen.  He has a wealth of experience including spells with Tyrone minor and U21 teams.

Last year he steered Edendork to the Tyrone Intermediate title and in 2001 he was joint manager as Tyrone won the minor All-Ireland after a replay win over Dublin.

Donnelly captained his club Trillick to the 1986 Tyrone senior championship and his sons Mattie and Richie currently play for Tyrone.

Donnelly is expected to link up with Paul Mellon who is the brother of former Tyrone player Ryan.  Mellon is a highly respected manager as well having had spells with Moneyglass and Belfast side O'Donnell's.

Ballinscreen will he hoping this is the final piece of the jigsaw that will see them take home the John McLaughlin Cup after a period of knocking on the door.  They are always seen as contenders and Derry's championship is seen as one of the most competitive in Ulster.
